Senseless Acts of Comedy has a new lineup after hosting open auditions Saturday. Even SAC president Steve Rupp had to try out—no one’s spot was guaranteed.
“For the first time in three years, we implemented an auditioning process to determine the lineup for this year’s show,” Rupp wrote in an email. “Auditions were extremely stressful due to the abundance of talented individuals that tried out. Choosing the cast was an extremely hard decision.”
Rupp kept his position on the SAC roster, as did returning members Ricky Anderson II and Grayson Howe. They were joined by Wesley Gentle and Ashleigh White, members of Loose Ends, a more informal on-campus improv comedy group, and Katie Love, a newcomer to TCU comedy.
SAC veteran Nell Maltman and freshman Kellye Moore will serve as alternates.
The first SAC performance will take place in the Brown-Lupton University Union on September 11 at 9:00 p.m.
