Sack happy defense yet to show up against vulnerable Cowboys

The swarming Horned Frog defense wasn’t able to get to Wyoming quarterback Karsten Sween in the first half.

The Frogs entered tonight’s homecoming showdown leading the nation with 33 sacks while Wyoming ranks 81 out of 119 teams in sacks allowed.  Defensive end Jerry Hughes also leads the nation with 11.  The junior end was named to The Sporting News’ Midseason All-America Team.

Sween has been illusive throughout the first half and has gotten the ball down field while on the move, including a 40-yard third down completion to wide receiver Brandon Stewart while rolling to his left.
