Just a little addendum regarding the Conficker Virus that will be released on April 1.
The virus exploits a loophole in the Microsoft Windows software. The hole has since been patched by Microsoft in October. If you have automatic updates turned on, users should be fine. If you haven’t updated your computer recently, you could be in trouble. It’s best to check to be sure, because nothing is worse than losing your computer when a term paper is due the next day.

If you can’t navigate to either this or this website, it’s possible that you infact have the virus on your computer.
To get rid of the virus, follow the instructions here.
Of course, this could just be a massive prank in order to scare the internet for a bunch of laughs. But, better to be safe than sorry.
