Next time you are in the mood for something tasty, treat yourself to not just one but “deux” tacos.
Paco and John, a new joint-venture for Bernard Tronche, frenchman and owner of Fort Worth’s Saint Emilion, and his longtime employee Francisco Islas.
The quaint Mexican diner offers overflowing street tacos (pork carnitas, roasted chicken, beef fajita, grouper and vegetarian) for only $1.45 each. P and J also serves tortas, Cuban-press sandwiches, enchiladas, quesadillas, ceviche, soups and a Cesar taco salad all ranging from $1.45-$8.95 for take-out and sit-down dining.
Located just south of the Eighth Avenue and Rosedale intersection in the Hospital District, there is no reason not to try out the new dig.
(Not to mention, the John in ‘Paco and John’ is named after Tronche’s son, John-Laurent, a former Horned Frog!)
