TCU’s Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences hosts symposium on healthy aging

TCU’s Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences will be hosting a symposium on healthy aging on April 13 and 14 featuring AARP President Jennie-Chin Hansen.

Jennie Chin Hansen is the current President of the AARP and teaches at San Francisco State University.  She moved to teaching in 2005 after 25 years as executive director of On Lok Inc., a non-profit organization that provided long-term community based care for elderly in San Francisco.

Topics for the symposium include “Hot Topics for the Healthy Aging” and “Care Coordination for the Healthy Aging”.  Seminar presentors include nursing and  elder care professionals.
The symposium will be located in the Brown Lupton University Union on Monday at 7-9 p.m.

On Tuesday symposium starts  8:30 and lasts until 4:30 in the Dee J. Kelly Alumni Ceter.

There is a reservation and cost to attend the symposium on both days.
